Comments:

A quick overview of what has happened since 1966. Met my wife about a week after our graduation, and married in the Fall of '69. In lieu of military service, I spent 4 years as a Letter Carrier out of Newtown, Norwood and Mt Washington post offices until early '70, then transferred to Federal Aviation Administration as an Air Traffic Controller in northern Ohio. When President Reagan fired 13,000 controllers in 1981 for an illegal strike I began a new career at Oberlin College. Retiring in 2006 from the college, we have been traveling the world, enjoying grandkids in a manner that wasn't possible when their parents were their ages, and doing a lot of volunteer work at the hospital and at Habitat For Humanity Lorain County, OH, and The Buckeye Santas group.
We also hosted a wonderful foreign exchange student for a year, from Italy, and have been back to her home to see her twice. After retirement, we downsized from our 5BR home to a much smaller condo, and have been playing as much golf as possible while spending the winters in South Carolina. Obviously, in between all that activity, there have been health issues dealt with that are just part of this geriatric maturation process!
I also spend a lot of time attached to my laptop and Facebook, supporting my volunteer efforts, administering my Santa Claus business and reconnecting with many of our classmates.
Since I had spent frosh and soph years at McNicholas (and wife is a McNick grad '68) before transferring to AHS, I also participate in McNick's reunions. So I may be seeing some of you at their gathering as well!

School Story:

Oh mercy, you don't really want to know! I just know that I still can't get my locker opened in all my nightmares, and thoroughly enjoyed having all three lunch periods free senior year!

It is always good news to hear of a classmate who has added one more year to their life history! Congrats Sue!

Wishing for you a most special birthday celebration, Tommy D! I doubt if I ever told you how much you have influenced my life. Having you for a friend through the trauma of leaving McNick for AHS, and classes with Mr Wesp, and all the rest of being a teenager in AT. You were a major influence in my minimal musical talents, especially now when visiting the youngsters at Christmas, I cannot pass up an opportunity to perform the Carols that the kids love to sing! I hope Texas continues to treat you well...I know you treat TEXANS well! Please know how sorry I am to have gotten you hooked on those NASTY Lucky Strikes!
